Art Worker. Treballador de l’Art. Worker of Art. Ouvrier artistique, ... right now, this is the definition with which I feel comfortable describing what I have been doing recently. As an eternal apprentice, I allow myself to explore the plastic universe with the freedom of someone who does not have to explain.
The purpose of this website is to show my work, explain processes, tensions and techniques that I constantly explore - to share thoughts, feelings and stories intertwined with the images that emerge.
If you want to know my background, look here. My career in the art world began about fifteen or twenty years ago when, at a crossroads in life, I decided to dedicate myself to what I liked the most: art.
My “Academy” is the artist friends and teachers who have accompanied me, Judith Sol, Ramón Herreros, America Sanchez, Arnal Ballester, Danielle Creaunne, Marta Peribáñez, Joma, Gusti, Inge Nows, Tere Guix, Alain Chardon, John Rozelle, ... and so many others that I’ve come across in my journey.
For a few years I trained as an art therapist and practiced the discipline with diverse people and groups. At a certain point I began focusing on my practice. Now it is my central dedication.
Photo by Miles Davis taken by Lluís Salom in 1984 at the Donosti Jazz Festival. Miles' music continues to accompany me and its derivatives continue to germinate. I am fascinated by his evolution and the nuances of his music.
Attached to the entrance wall of the workshop, the chicken farm turns into a mysterious and magical space that invites you to enter.
